Baixa-Chiado Tour

Praça dos Restauradores

Duration 2:30h/3h

Every morning at 10:30am

If you come to Lisbon, you cannot miss the famous city center’s tour! Super recommended not only for newcomers, but also for those who already know the Portuguese capital! Because as I always say, making sense of what you see allows you to open new eyes to the city, to get to know it like you know an old friend, to bring home much more than just a holiday. Starting from Restaurateurs Square, we take a tour of the Baixa, passing by the Rossio square, going up the iconic Santa Justa lift to reach the Carmo’s Church, the famous roofless church symbol of the resilience of this people, witness to the 1755 earthquake and the 1974 revolutionary uprisings. From the Carmo we continue up the hill of São Roque towards the Miradouro of São Pedro de Alcântara, before descending to the Baixa Passing by Largo do Chiado, the city's literary corner. Passing through the famous arch of Rua Augusta we reach Commerce Square, our arrival point. Cities are like people, they show their different personalities to the traveller and this is precisely the case in Lisbon, each neighborhood will amaze you with its colors and scents, a city that brings together a thousand others.

Alfama Tour

Casa dos Bicos - Campo das Cebolas
Duration 2:30h/3h

The Alfama is a walk through a neighbourhood of narrow, labyrinthine streets, that since 1998 has been proclaimed the second oldest in the world, Where everything began and where it is still possible to breathe in the tradition and typicality of a city invaded by modernity and progress. Walking next to the walls of the ancient Lisbon, we will get to know the secrets of the alfacinas, people of the sea and prayer, but also great revelers when necessary, as during the summer festivities of the Popular Saints, of which Alfama is the soul and Santo António the main character. We will pass by Lisbon's famous Sé, an ancient mosque that has become the city's cathedral, testimony to Lisbon's Arab origins, the cradle of fado, whose roots lie in Moorish history and folklore, and whose melody of fado, whose cradle was the Mouraria neighbourhood, tells us so much about the Arab origins of this land. In the neighbourhood that survived the catastrophe that marked the city in 1755, there is no walking except on foot, no cars, scooters or bicycles allowed to climb the hill and reach the famous São Jorge Castle, an ancient Arab fortress, a strategic observation point over the city and the Tejo river, and therefore home to a marvellous 'miradouro'. On the way up the hill there will be no shortage of encounters with the locals, fond of their homes and the crafts that have survived for generations, such as the production of azulejos and ginjinha, of which, after so many stairs, you will be worthy of a taste! Arriving at the miradouros of Santa Luzia and Portas do Sol, we admire the southern edge of the river and, from above, the neighbourhood below our feet shows us Lisbon's iconic red roofs giving colour to the fishermen's cottages arranged without logic along the hillside. Still skirting the ancient city limits we arrive at the top of the hill where our walk ends at the last planned viewpoint, far from the tourist routes, often embraced by the last lights of the Lisbon sun. What are you doing, joining us?

Belém Tour

Plaza Afonso de Albuquerque
Duration 2:30h

And then there is the tour of Belem, an iconic district of beautiful Lisbon where a visit to the two monuments that have become UNESCO World Heritage Sites is a must: the Hieronymites Monastery and the famous Belém Tower. Examples of this much-talked-about 'manuelino', but what is it? And who is Manuel? During a relaxing walk along the Tejo River, away from the hustle and bustle of the city centre, and maybe even watching a beautiful sunset, we will talk about the era of colonisation and the characters that fill the pages of history books all over Europe. Starting from the Afonso de Albuquerque square, the route will be flat and linear, passing by the gardens, the famous and unique Fábrica de pastéis de Belém, to arrive in front of the imposing monastery, whose church we will visit. Monkeys, elephants, exotic plants, symbolism everywhere, how come? Hot topics related to navigation. Through the Imperial Garden we will move towards the Padrão dos Descobrimentos, where we will be able to see the Tower of Belém, the final point of the visit.
