Food Tour

This tour was born spontaneously from my curiosity, from the desire to share and above all from my all-Italian appetite! - Since 2020 in Lisbon, little by little I have fallen in love with this city, and with my job, as a tour guide I always have the opportunity to get to know new aspects of this wonderful people that it seems really unfair not to show the world. - After a few years touring with people from all over the world, I realise that if there is one thing we all have in common, it is food! - On this tour of about 3.30h we will pass through the main market squares of Lisbon, discovering the history of the city through cuisine and not only that, the best souvenirs in Portugal are in bottles! - Pastel de nata, baccalhau, ginjinha and many other delicacies of Lisbon cuisine, at the end of the tour you will be satiated and maybe even a little tipsy!

Itinerary

We start at the most popular café in town where we will delight in a sweet that has accompanied the Portuguese in their awakening for centuries. and no! It is not the pastel de nata. We descend from Praca do Camoes to Lisbon's oldest market, already of Roman origin, the Mercado da Ribeira, where the most famous brands of Lisbon's catering industry will be presented, and where an aperitif is expected, as per the textbook! Having prepared our stomachs, we walk towards our first courses, served since the dark days of the Inquisition. We pass from one end of the city to the other, entering historic quarters where there is no shortage of folklore and popular traditions that always feature good food. The Portuguese's best friend, Mr Baccalhau, will certainly not be missed. Which of the hundreds of recipes will our chef have in store for us? After all this eating we end with a sweet and digestive near Praca da Figueira, in the Baixa Pombalina district.
